The Alpha Mom of Today is the Super Mom of Yesterday

Mothers who manage their homes and raising a family as if it was a business have been termed Alpha Moms.  Constance Van Flandern from Eugene, Oregon coined this label and what has followed is a marketing frenzy.  Are these mothers so different or are they the 21st century version of “super mom” of earlier decades?

Losing Corporate Perks in Divorce

The Securities and Exchange Commission recently mandated full disclosure of executive compensation to shareholders.  Corporations are asking their shareholders to approve these compensation plans in a proxy vote.  You should also read about these perks.  Be able to quantify them and their impact on your life in the event of divorce.

Living Together, Marriage, and Then Divorce

Researchers now say that married couples who live together before marriage are 50 percent more likely to get divorced.  They tend to have a
“renter’s agreement” philosophy that makes them less committed to sticking together through hard times.
